1. How the Mono cookie banner works
On a first visit, or when the stored consent version expires, Mono shows a privacy banner before optional analytics or marketing purposes are enabled. Necessary functionality does not require an opt-in because it supports the website, security and your privacy choice itself.
The first layer provides three clear actions: Reject optional, Accept all and Manage preferences. Choosing Manage preferences opens category-level controls. Closing the preferences panel does not silently grant optional consent.
A saved choice is remembered for up to 180 days. If the consent policy version changes or the saved choice expires, the website asks again.
2. Consent categories
Necessary is always active and covers storage or technical controls required for security, form reliability, session behavior and remembering your privacy choice.
Analytics & measurement is optional. When allowed, configured analytics such as GA4 and limited first-party attribution can be used to understand traffic and website performance.
Marketing & advertising is optional and only appears when that category is enabled for configured advertising-related tags. It can control advertising storage and measurement signals independently from necessary functionality.
Important
Rejecting optional purposes does not block access to public pages or the System Review form.
3. First-party storage used by Mono
Before analytics consent, optional attribution context stays temporary in memory and is not persisted to localStorage, sessionStorage or attribution cookies. If browser storage APIs are unavailable after consent, the theme can use equivalent first-party cookie storage.

4. Analytics, marketing and Google Consent Mode
When Google Tag Manager is configured, the built-in consent manager initializes analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization as denied. The GTM network request is deferred until analytics or marketing consent is explicitly granted.
Granting analytics does not automatically grant marketing. The exact services that load depend on the GTM container and the consent requirements configured for each tag.
Mono analytics events are designed not to place your name, email address, phone number or free-text System Review content into the analytics data layer.
5. Necessary and security-related technology
WordPress, hosting and security layers may use cookies, request tokens or technical identifiers that are necessary for administration, security, logged-in sessions or reliable form handling. Public System Review submissions also use non-cookie controls such as WordPress nonces, submission identifiers, timestamps, duplicate protection and rate limits.
If Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled, Cloudflare may process technical information and use browser storage as part of bot verification. Cloudflare’s own privacy terms apply to that processing.
6. Changing or withdrawing your choice
Use Cookie settings in the footer on any page to reopen the preference panel. You can enable or disable optional analytics and marketing purposes and save a new choice at any time.
When optional consent is withdrawn, Mono updates Consent Mode and makes a best-effort attempt to remove Mono attribution storage and recognized first-party analytics or advertising cookies. Third-party services may have their own deletion or retention behavior.
You can also clear or block site storage through your browser. Blocking all browser storage may remove convenience or attribution context, but core public content should remain available.
7. Changes and contact
This Cookie Policy is updated when the consent interface, configured integrations, storage behavior or relevant requirements change. The revision date at the top of the page shows the latest published version.
